The word “Misteli” finds its roots all the way back to ancient greece and the Dionesian feast where good food and wine were essential to a perfect evening. Misteli is the rebirth of “taverna Maria” the restaurant of our grandma that from 1986 and for 10 years was hosting and cooking for people from all around the world. You will still find her original tomato-patty and fava recipes as well as our favorite grandma meatballs.
Always focusing on the entire dining experience Misteli’s design was inspired by the colors of ancient Akrotiri. By using local and biological ingredients, fresh homegrown herbs and following our grandparents’ steps we elevate the traditional greek-meditteranean taste to new modern levels.
